"Our main aim for the project was to allow two families to independently renovate and extend their homes while utilising the benefits of a joint planning application," Delve Architects co-founder Ed Martin told Dezeen.

To avoid disrupting the large, open spaces of the mill, circulation is housed in the former kiln, with lifts, a black-steel staircase and walkways positioned beneath its restored timber- and steel-framed roof.
"Staub are a French heritage brand steeped in 50 plus years of culinary excellence, which would have made it very easy for us to weave a campaign around prestige and performance but something kept pulling me in the other direction," explained Minale.
The site's perimeter fences have been removed to allow wildlife to roam freely, while narrow footpaths are used to minimise the amount of hard landscaping and allow the natural surroundings to flourish.
"It's just incredible that this private industrial parcel – which has pockets of rocky coastline, thriving wetlands, sandy beaches, and shady woodlands – is going to be healed and made public for all to enjoy," said Scape founding principal Kate Orff.
"This project proposes revitalising the former Market Street Power Plant into a dynamic destination that celebrates the spirit of New Orleans, embraces sustainability and fosters a thriving community, through the hypothetical real estate development venture Cultivated Solutions.
"The ambient soundtrack within the room is crafted from nine significant sounds: such as planes taking off, the clang of Balikbayan boxes, phone dial tones, the rustle of Barong Tagalog shirts, the melodic horns of Jeepneys, the strumming of a Bandurria, the gentle jostling of a string of pearls and the thumping beats of bamboo instruments.

"The client for the project, Nick Reid, had personal experience through his mother who had multiple sclerosis, of the challenges for people in wheelchairs or with a range of disabilities in finding attractive, comfortable, fully inclusive holiday accommodation," explained Clementine Blakemore in the video.
