But with this collection, Hendry was keen to explore larger and more complex structures that can function as furniture, including a coffee table, bench, coat rack, wall hook and lounger.
"She was just struck by the idea of taking these flowers and these delicate and natural elements and being able to increase the longevity and enjoy them for a long time," CJ Hendry studio director Dylon Harbottle told Dezeen.
"This tranquil space is dedicated to introspection, providing a sanctuary for individuals to rejuvenate their minds and break away from routine, thus emphasising the significance of mental and physical well-being, ultimately enhancing the quality of life and productivity of workers," Méndez said.
"The showcase's setting in Abney Park creates a sense of curiosity, connecting objects and materials with their natural surroundings in a way that we hope feels both new and familiar or unfamiliar," said Lely.
